It’s that time of the year again! On Thursday, September 14, 2017, we hosted our 7th annual Chic Palooza at the Lodge at Strawberry Acres Park in Holland, Ohio.
Chic Palooza is held annually to pamper Cousino Restoration’s female clients with entertainment, shopping, arts and crafts, massages, manicures, and beauty services. Food and refreshments are also served.
Hosted by Shelly Konz and Mia Isaacson from the Cousino Restoration team, this year’s event featured a fantastic speaker: Dr. Carolyn Gbur, a cardiologist from Maumee. Dr. Gbur spoke with the crowd about women and heart issues.
For relaxation, the event attendees could choose between one of two services: a mini chair massage or a basic manicure. Both were very popular!
We were excited to have our dancing music provided by Justin Olman. In addition to “gettin’ their groove on” on the dance floor, the Chic Palooza attendees also took advantage of Click Pix Pro’s photo booth with its fun props.
Drinks were offered as well, with wine and craft beer tastings every 15 minutes. For sustenance, everyone hit the themed grazing stations for hearty foods.
And we can’t forget shopping: 10 artsy vendors came to Chic Palooza this year to sell their unique gifts!
Each year, Cousino Restoration also introduces a new charity to which the guests can donate. This year’s charity was Good Grief of Northwest Ohio, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides a safe, healing place to gather, grief, receive, and share support.
It is Good Grief’s Mission to create awareness of and support for grieving children and their families and to provide a safe and caring place for children to explore, express, and come to an understanding of thoughts, fears, questions, and emotions associated with grief and loss.
